  • These antennas are suitable for mounting on any marine vessel. They are ground plane independent and provide a unity gain omni-directional radiation pattern. The feeder cable is very well de-coupled and is therefore not affected by it’s installation or by its proximity to metallic objects.

    • The antenna should be mounted as far as possible from any metal structure. The antenna should not be mounted alongside any vertical metal strip, cable, rod or railing. This would de-tune the antenna and deteriorate its performance. These antennas are all factory pre-tuned and must not be altered in any way. Find the most appropriate location for the antenna to be mounted. This can be on a horizontal deck, a vertical bulkhead or a railing (for 02129 only). Carefully feed the cable as required through to the transceiver, taking care not to damage the cable. The cable can be rolled up or bunched and put away anywhere out of the way. Avoid running the cable next to alternators or generators, or other wiring. Fit the required plug to the cable and connect to transceiver.
