GAS DC SURGE ARRESTOR


  • Gas arrestors offer protection against voltage transients on DC such as lightning, inductive switching, electrostatic, etc., in telephone and telecommunication equipment. Under normal conditions it’s effectively a capacitor. When the impulse breakdown voltage is exceeded it goes conductive. The devices clamp to around 10 to 20V when arcing so they are NOT SUITABLE for 240VAC applications. Austel certified.
