Traditional design 2-Way utilising the superb Ribbon tweeter matched with Peerless “Exclusive Range” of audiophile drivers. Kits supplied in pairs. Includes for drivers & assembled crossovers with connectors, etc. No cabinets are supplied.

The HDSK Series was our High Definition Series Monitor Grade Audio Speaker Kit using the best of our Peerless drivers professionally matched together with a precision ribbon tweeter by a crossover developed by Russell Storey of Stones Sound Studio. We have some limited stock of the crossovers used in this kit along with the drivers they suit packaged together as a DIY project for those able to make their own cabinets to the diagrams included. The cabinet design will tune the Peerless mid-bass driver to its ideal specifications maximising performance from this driver. All the calculation work has been done for you to an optimised standard afforded to premium audiophile grade monitors with impecable high-end audio quality that surpasses pre-made loudspeakers multiple the cost. All components in the crossover are the best we stock including genuine SCR crossover capacitors and Solid Copper air-core inductors. OFC solid copper cable, gold plated connectors. These kits were designed to be world leading audiphile examples to showcase the exceptional quality and how it was possible to make the best out of our Peerless driver range especially when matched with the incredible response of a ribbon tweeter.

SIGNATURE SERIES KITS HDSK & RIBBON

Designed by Russell Storey of Stones Sound Studio These new kit speakers use the very-high-performance audiophile grade Ribbon Tweeters with Peerless Mid-woofers. Due to the impressively high efficiency accomplished in this design, they will be a very good match to Class-A Valve Amplifiers. LMS developed crossover is assembled with premium grade components Linkwitz & Riley with Bessel-Butterworth response for linear phase Air-core copper inductors and non-inductive resistors are used SCR 400V metalised polypropylene capacitors manufactured in France 4mm Gold-plated binding posts can be wired singular or Bi-wired Low capacitance OFC Cable with no-soldering speaker connectors Professional development time as produced a solution that offers Very low distortion, linear sound and very accurate phase response.

Fundamental physics support the ribbon as a perfect type of transducer
A thin light metal ribbon is suspended in a powerful magnetic field
The signal current passes through the ribbon in the magnetic field
The ribbon itself projects the sound faithfully and instantaneously
The ribbon serves both as voice coil and diaphragm.
Every part of the ribbon is driven directly and simultaneously without any energy storage.
No sound colouring at all in its usable frequency range up to 100KHz
Output voice therefore always perfectly replicates the input signal
