While the 6dBi mast option provides a total antenna length of 945mm, which is best suited for medium range communication in various environments such as suburban landscapes, towns and low density woodlands, as the elliptical radiation pattern is more rounded compared to a high gain antenna and radiates further compared to a low gain antenna. The whips mount to a black elevated feed base which is fitted with a medium duty black coated stainless steel spring. It’s perfect for installing on all vehicles, including those that are prone to vibration such as trucks, agricultural machinery and off-road 4WDs. The antenna is ground independent which means it can be mounted virtually anywhere on the vehicle while maintaining a stable radiation pattern. The elevated feed design helps raise the radiation pattern above the vehicle roof and other obstructions to ensure high performance when mounted on a vehicle roof gutter, guard or bullbar. It is fitted with 4.9 metre RG58 coaxial cable which is pre-terminated with an FME connector making it easy to install through the firewall grommet in vehicles. An FME to UHF PL259 screw on adaptor is also included as well as a mounting spanner for hassle-free installation.
