To comply with the IEEE802.3az standard, the Switch ES-5800G V3 provides power saving features to reduce energy consumption to help business save cost. These features include inactive link detection which reduces power usage by shutting inactive links when it is detected and Cable length detection which adjust power usage based on the length of the cable. The shorter the cable length, the less power it consumes.
