AURUM CANTUS G2Si RIBBON TWEETER

SOLD IN SINGLES

The Fountek JP3.0 which was a copy of the original Decca London / Stanley Kelly ribbon tweeter of the 60s are no longer available. For those customers we have sourced this tweeter which appears to be identical to the JP3.0 and suitable for similar projects.

  • This tweeter utilizes a lightweight, pure aluminium ribbon to provide a super-tweeter high-end extension with exceptional detail, and quick transient response. The G2Si utilises Neodymium magnets and a heavy iron impedance transformer for excellent results.

    • High 96 dB sensitivity is great for efficient designs
    • Excellent high-frequency extension, can be used as a super tweeter
    • Extremely fast transient response allows reproduction of the finest details
    • Smooth and efficient frequency response from 1,700 to over 20,000 Hz
    • Recommended crossover frequency 2500Hz at 18dB per octave

  • In the correct signal environment, Ribbon tweeters will excel for many years. However, Warning: Ribbon tweeters will destruct with DC and low frequencies. The soft aluminium ribbon will distort itself out of the flux channel and no longer function. Be very cautious. It is recommended to use a high slope crossover filter to protect the tweeter from low frequency and to test your circuit with another tweeter before committing the ribbon to signal. You have been warned.
